IDEAS RULE THE WORLD

Ideas.Those momentary glimpses of what is possible,what is achievable and what can be brought to be.From "Let there be light" to "ultraadvanced technology" of generations to come, various ideas mould and shape not just our world,but our consciousness,perception and automatically our societal and human evolution.
*For Newton,it is motion and. gravity.
*For Einstein,it is E=mc2 and ultimately,relativity.
*For Marie Curie,it is radioactivity.
*For Beethoven,Mozart and Handel,it is musical perfection.
*For Muhammad Ali,it is being the the greatest in the ring.
*For Mandela,it is the end of apartheid and the birth of freedom.
*For Bill Gates,it is Microsoft.
*For Mother Theresa,it is help to the needy.
*For Edison,it is the incandescent bulb.
*For the Wright Brothers,it is the flying machine.
*For Ford,it is the automobile.
For many people,it is many things, but one thing is certain...Ideas have changed not only our history but also who we are.
Not all ideas see the light of the day.Majority of the ideas that would have altered positively the face of this earth have been suppressed,nay,extinguished by men who are either ignorant of their God-given potentials or are afraid to make the next move.Thus,ideas can be grouped into EFFECTIVE and INEFFECTIVE ideas.Effective ideas are nutured by the warmth of faith and the water of action.Having a good idea,with strong faith but without action is WISHFUL THINKING;having a good idea with action but no faith makes it an IMPOSSIBILITY.
Everyone is capable of generating ideas though this ability varies among individuals.Some possess this ability to a very high degree-a concept called VISION-these are usually the ones saddled with leadership responsibilities since they can see what most others cannot.As a writer aptly put it,"Others see what is and ask why?I see what is not and ask why not?"This ability can be enhanced by increased self-awareness and frequent brainstormings.Keeping journals or diaries can help keep track of the ideas as they come and action taken when appropriate.A very important means of acquiring great ideas is by STUDY-indepth reading of materials related to your line of thought.This has been the method used by great scientists and inventors.As Newton rightly acknowledged,"If I have seen further,it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."
In conclusion,it is unarguable that each one of us have innumerable ideas waiting to be born and clothed with faith and action,inorder to come into being.Thus,we should always be on the look out ideas that can better our lives and society.
So,whether black or white,Christian,Muslim or Hindi,Theist,Atheist or Agnostic,Communist or Capitalist...we all share one simple belief,one confounding truth...that ideas rule the world.
